Please notice: At short notice, we received an offer that we could not refuse, since Potsdam is known for its famous historical buildings and cultural events. Therefore, the INSECTA organization team is very pleased to announce:
The University of Potsdam will host us at the closest location to the New Palace (Neues Palais) in the Park Sanssouci!
The New Palace is the last palace that Frederick the Great had built in his park. In strong contrast to the intimate and rather modest Sanssouci Palace the large palace complex served official, representational needs.
The building where the conference will take place is also the address of the President of the Potsdam University and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
How to come here? See TRAVEL!
To support your stay we reserved some rooms on the basis of self-payment. See ACCOMMODATION.
In case you have some extra time before or after the conference you should take a closer look to our beautiful Potsdam. It is a city of UNESCO World Heritage where you can visit countless parks and palaces near idyllic lakes of the Havel. Characterized by a 1000-year-old history as a royal capital and a State capital, Potsdam established as a center of science, education, culture and film.
Germany’s capital city Berlin is a near and close neighbor to Potsdam. Countless cultural, scientific and political events are hosted here. It’s worth a visit, too.
